Name: Amu Hinamori
Information: Amu Hinamori is the main character of the cute and funny series, Shugo Chara!. She goes to Seiyo Elementary as a 4th to 6th grade student. Her classmates sees her as "Cool" and "Spicy" because of the trendy punk clothing her mother gives her and her shyness was mistaken to be 'cool'. Amu's true self is actually a shy girl who wants to show her true self. One night, she prays and asks if she can be reborn to her "wanted" personalities/selves. The next day, three eggs appeared on her bed, colored; red, blue, and green. Later, they all hatched to Ran, Miki, and Su. (Her Guardian Characters)
During Character Change, Ran makes Amu more athletic and honest. (Her clip also turn into a heart) Miki makes her more sensible/calm and artistic. (Her clip turn into a spade) Su makes Amu more girly and good in household skills. (Her clip turns into a clover) Amulet Diamond is a singer/musician. (Her clip turns into a diamond) During Character Transformation (Becoming Character) with Ran, Amu wears cheerleading clothes and huge Pom-Poms. Her signature symbol is a heart. With Miki, Amu wears a blue outfit with a huge paint brush. Her signature symbol is a spade. With Su, she wears a green dress for maids. Her signature symbol is a clover. With Diamond, She wears a white and yellow outfit and her signature symbol is a diamond.
The moment Amu saw Tadase, she had a crush on him. But when she confessed to him, in front of the entire school, with character change (Ran), she was rejected. She laters find out that Tadase isn't good at turning girls down, so he would usually have Kiseki turn them down for him. Tadase fell in love with Amulet Heart and confessed to Amu during their vacation. (Graveyard) Amu becomes depress because she believes Amulet Heart is not her. In Volume 5 of Shugo Chara, Tadase and Amu goes on a date and their relationship gets stronger. Though, Ikuto comes and talks with Amu.
Amu first declined to join the Guardians because of not wanting to wear the royal cape. The other Guardians made her join anyways, taking the 'Joker' chair in the Guardians. She recieves the 'Humpty Lock' that has a four leave clover symbol on it. Nadeshiko says it was from the First King. The Joker's job is to hunt X-eggs because she is the only one who has the power to purifies the x-eggs. She only wore the Royal Cape when she felt guilty for not telling the other Guardians about her X-Egg. (Diamond)
Some hints showing that Amu also has a crush on Ikuto is when she blushes. (Ikuto touches her to blush) She doesn't realize it at first. When Utau kissed Ikuto she was unbelieveable shocked and then became jealous later. In Episode 29, Utau tells Amu that Ikuto is different around her and that Ikuto likes her. In Chapter 28, Amu asks him if there is anyone he love. He answers "It's you." She first took it as a joke until Utau tells her that he is not lying.
She is confused between the guy who she really likes. In episode 35, it is shown as Amu as a bride. In her daydreaming, she first sees Tadase, then Ikuto, then Kukai and then Kairi. All of the boys were all holding bouquets to give her. Telling her Guardian Characters this, Ran and Su tells her it's alright and it's the road to true love. Miki tells her that she understands how she feels and also states who she likes. (Kiseki, Yoru, Daichi, and Musashi)
